Mindfulness in DBT

Mindfulness - I wish it wasn’t so trendy, because the development of pre-verbal self-awareness has so many benefits across many situations and I hope it’s here to stay.

When I was first invited to practice mindfulness, I was resistant to do so because it was intensely uncomfortable and I had a defensive reaction to it. But after several months of regular, simple, brief practices, I experienced noticeable improvements to my emotional regulation skills.
